We are seeking a detail-oriented strong HR Generalist to join our team. This role is responsible for administering benefits, and pension plans, while also supporting a broad range of HR functions including employee communications, onboarding/offboarding, policy development, and database management. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment with both unionized and non-unionized employees and demonstrate a people-focused, service-oriented approach. The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a hands-on, on-site professional responsible for supporting and executing a full range of HR programs that foster employee engagement, talent development, performance management, and a positive workplace culture. This role serves as an internal advisor to management and employees, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and company policies. The Senior HR Generalist will lead initiatives that align people strategies with organizational goals, contributing to a productive, safe, and respectful manufacturing environment.

About You

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • CHRP, CHRL, or SHRM designation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting both unionized and non-unionized workplaces
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and compliance

Knowledge

  • Employment standards, labour relations, and collective bargaining agreements
  • Benefits and pension administration
  • Health and safety regulations and workplace equity legislation
  • HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred) and HR reporting tools
  • Continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness practices

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
