The Production Assistant is responsible for coordinating the flow of products and ensuring timely communication with IMT Elemental customers regarding incoming and outgoing orders. This role includes processing shipping and receiving documentation, reviewing contracts, and managing order scheduling to support smooth production operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with scheduling and tracking project timelines, deliverables and deadlines
- Maintain organized records, production logs, and overall documentation

- Handle data entry and reporting within an ERP system

The QA Technician is responsible for overseeing daily QA inspection activities to support production. Specific laboratory and other tasks are assigned by the QA Manager and/or General Manager as necessary. The role includes performing laboratory tests, inspections, and verification activities that directly and indirectly support production, as well as managing laboratory procedures and supplies. The QA Technician works closely with departments such as Production, Maintenance, and Sales to ensure smooth operations within IMT Elemental.

- Maintains and operates measuring and testing equipment.
- Prepares and evaluates laboratory samples according to process standards and laboratory procedures, generating the required lab reports.
- Conducts hardness, or other testing on specified products in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans, and prepares associated reports.
- Prepares furnace charts for customer certifications.
- Reviews and signs off on reports and certifications for outgoing products.
- Performs maintenance and verification of test equipment, and assists with coordinating calibration activities.
- Conducts pyrometric activities (SAT, TUS, etc.) on production equipment in accordance with applicable industry standards.
- Updates and maintains laboratory procedures and forms in accordance with applicable standards, as well as customer- and contract-specific requirements.
- Maintains and improves organization of laboratory environment (5S).
- Conducts metallurgical investigations (chemical analysis, microstructure studies, hardness verifications, etc.) under the QA Manager’s direction.
- Assists with the development of new processes or products under the QA Manager’s direction, including preparation of process standard and inspection plans.
- Performs capability studies on new processes and systems as per initial sample runs or PPAP requirements.
- Alerts the Quality Assurance Manager about nonconforming products, processes or measuring instruments.
- Assists in cross-training of Lab Personnel.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Engineering Technologist or Technician, or Quality Control Technician or equivalent related education/work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience recommended.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing support in all areas of freight scheduling, creation and submission of shipment documentation and updates to shipment logs. This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless delivery of all inbound/outbound shipments, including cross border shipments and customs clearance. Monthly monitoring, review and tracking of all freight related charges and quoting is required for submission to management.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support in all areas of freight scheduling.
- Inbound from globally sourced vendors.
- Outbound to internal and external customers and third-party storage facilities.
- Customs and Regulatory document control.
- Ensure compliance with import & export documentation prepared by IMT and our vendors and customers.
- Determine shipping requirements by coordinating with relevant functional areas, i.e. Quality, Engineering, Sales, Production, and Shipping
- Coordinate and collect any special receiving instructions/equipment requirements for inbound/outbound shipments.
- Collect, organize, and retain historical bid/actual data for all freight quoted and shipped for customers.
- Responsible for request for quote process and selecting carrier(s). Coordinate with multiple carriers, as appropriate.
- Analyze and validate freight invoices are complete and accurate.
- Measure functional metrics to evaluate and improve the overall process.
- Ensure IMT has, and maintains, visibility of all freight charges (i.e. freight, permits, detention, etc)
- Negotiate freight rates.
- Manage any claims that result from damage, delays or charges related to the transportation of shipments.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all departments, suppliers, subcontractors and freight forwarders.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties.
- Ensure Tariff codes are updated in MRP/ERP and used for all cross-border shipping.
- Prepare monthly reports to submit to management and identify cost saving opportunities
Requirements:
- Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent. CCS preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related logistics experience with cross border shipments and 3+ year's experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of cross border shipments and experience working to directly resolve challenges presented during border crossings.
- Working knowledge of ACE and CERS portals.
- Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Advanced MS Excel skills are essential, with a requirement to create detailed spreadsheets for presentation to management.
- Strong understanding of inventory, and warehousing processes.
- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- High-level attention to detail and accuracy oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Skills/Effort Requirements:
- CGSB/ISO certification UT1 & MT2 is preferred
- CGSB/ISO certification UT2 & MT2 is a plus
- Other NDT certifications may also be considered

- This role involves working with automated UT (immersion) systems and manual horizontal wet bench MT in a factory setting, adhering to NAS410 Aerospace standards.
- Minimum requirements for NAS410 qualification:
- Over 800 documented (verifiable) experience hours in the UT method
- At least 80 hours formal NDT training in the UT method (with a course certificate)
- Over 530 documented (verifiable) experience hours in the MT method
- At least 40 hours formal NDT training in the MT method (with course certificate)
