The Analytical Chemist provides support and direction to MetLab and Chemical Analysis Technicians in the area of quality assurance, process documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Provide job training and coaching for Titration and Chemical Analysis positions
- Develop, maintain process documentation in co-operation with manufacturing engineering
- Initiate actions to coordinate the titration process for the Phosphate lines
- Verify Chemical Test reports and advise necessary re-tests.
- Validate and sign-off the Test Report where required by Customer
- Develop Work Instructions and Procedures to ensure compliance with Customer Requirements and
- Specifications related to Phosphating Process and Chemical Analysis
- Responsible for determining customer requirements on assigned programs and obtaining acceptance and limit samples.
- Responsible for communicating customer requirements and standards related to Chemical test and procedures required within the organization.
- Participate in APQP and related meeting of Process Development
- Responsible for preparing FAI reports for Titration and Chemical Analysis
- Coordinate and develop calibration activities related to Titration and Chemical Test Equipment
- Participate as required in cross functional team activities.
- Preform LPA Audits
- Participate in MRB(Material Review Board) meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in chemistry or equivalent experience
- 3 years of related experience
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel
- Able to direct resources
- Able to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ISO-9001or ISO17025– experience in Chemistry preferred
- Experienced in performing Laboratory testing
- Ability to efficiently communicate between multiple departments
- Ability to interpret chemical test results and to direct disposition
- Knowledge and usage of inspection equipment
- Knowledge of general calibration procedures
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, Military specification for specific chemical analysis
- Able to work independently
- Able to meet deadlines
