Responsibilities

• Scheduling payments for vendors, preparing cheques and wire transfers
• Managing accounts payable, ensuring proper approvals are obtained and vendor inquiries are responded to in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare daily cash consolidation report and reconciling daily bank accounts.
• Maintain the fixed asset database and schedules.
• Ensure proper approvals and policies are met.
• Assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Maintain balance sheet accounts and reconcile accordingly.
• Provide support to the year-end closing process.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Prepare analysis of accounts as required.
• General support for accounting teams within IMT.

Requirements:

• 3 years of progressive general accounting experience
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Demonstrated technical accounting skills
• Proficient use of MS Excel and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics and Atlas (report writing)
• Knowledge and experience with GAAP and finance principles
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting.
• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong attention to detail combined with a commitment to a high quality of work.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Action oriented, hard-working and self-confident. Strong work ethic is required
• Professional, team player with a keen sense of initiative
