The Tool Maker is responsible for creating precision-quality product samples, as well as production tools, guides, and holding devices used in the manufacturing process.

• Preparation of product quality samples for testing

NDT Technician will specialize in UT and MT methods. Junior Technician, Technician, and Senior Technician positions available.

Skills/Effort Requirements:

• CGSB/ISO certification UT1 & MT2 is preferred
• CGSB/ISO certification UT2 & MT2 is a plus
• Other NDT certifications may also be considered
• This is a salaried position (40 hrs. /week) with competitive pay and benefits 
• This role involves working with automated UT (immersion) systems and manual horizontal wet bench MT in a factory setting, adhering to NAS410 Aerospace standards.
• Minimum requirements for NAS410 qualification:
  • Over 800 documented (verifiable) experience hours in the UT method
  • At least 80 hours formal NDT training in the UT method (with a course certificate)
  • Over 530 documented (verifiable) experience hours in the MT method
  • At least 40 hours formal NDT training in the MT method (with course certificate)
• Passing the NAS410 qualification and periodic proficiency exams as a condition of employment.

The Millwright will install, dismantle, move and perform maintenance on machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns
• Apply proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving
• Dismantle, assemble/install and move machinery efficiently with precision
• Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of equipment in a manufacturing setting
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting
• Responsible for equipment changeover, set up, take down and relocation of machinery
• Respond to equipment problems in a timely and customer-oriented manner

Requirements:

• Millwright ticket 443A
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work
• Experience with CNC lathes, gearboxes, Heat Treat equipment and Robotics
• Proficient at operating lift trucks, hoists and using power tools during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
• Experience working with presses and induction heat systems

Responsibilities:

• Work in a versatile environment to maintain and enhance plant machinery and equipment, focusing on process improvement.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment as per standardized procedures, such as lubrication, oil changes, and air filter replacements for blower motors.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings, and gears.
• Ensure proper functionality of controls and safety measures.
• Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team as needed.
• Experience with heat treat equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry 
• Strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment.
